This model is equipped with the Caliber 5X83, the highest performance movement in Astron history. Equipped with a dual time chronograph function, the first Astron, it can display and move the time in two different time zones at the same time. Furthermore, a new stopwatch with a 1/20 second resolution has been added. Due to the increase in the number of motors, the sub dial and main dial at the 6 o'clock position are driven simultaneously, greatly reducing the time required to switch between local time and home time (up to 5 seconds compared to the conventional 5X53), and dramatically improving operability. In addition, a newly adopted flat antenna enables solar charging of the entire dial, making it possible to incorporate a 1/20 second chronograph function that consumes a large amount of power. Astron's first vertical sub-dial layout gives the entire dial a sense of dynamism and depth.
