Seiko's first pocket watch homage

This model pays homage to the layout of Seiko's first pocket watch, the Timekeeper, which Seiko completed in 1895, and incorporated it into the dial design. The shape of the hands and the placement of the indexes have been carefully calculated to ensure outstanding visibility. By using a new minute rail around the outer periphery of the dial scale, the model has been updated to give it an elegant feel. The uneven finish on the inside of the index gives the dial a three-dimensional look and highlights its beauty.

Enamel dial that will never fade

The unique soft luster and warm enamel texture of the watch maintains its beautiful color, giving it a charm that continues to please the wearer's eyes. The contrast created by the long-lasting white color of the enamel and the plump, thick black Roman numeral indexes makes the beautiful white color of the enamel stand out even more. Precisely translating traditional Japanese crafts into the world of minute watches less than 5cm in diameter requires a high level of craftsmanship, and all dials are created by the handiwork of craftsmen. This is truly Japanese craftsmanship, with the glaze composition and firing time changing depending on the day's temperature, temperature, and time of day. Each dial has a different texture, so no two are the same, making this a romantic model. By the way, the enamel dial was also used in Seiko's first domestically produced wristwatch, the Laurel, released in 1913, and the original model still in existence still maintains its beautiful white color.
