This model is equipped with the Caliber 5X83, the highest performance movement in Astron history. Equipped with a dual time chronograph function, the first Astron, it can display and move the hands in two different time zones at the same time. Furthermore, a new stopwatch with a 1/20 second resolution has been added. Due to the increase in the number of motors, the sub dial and main dial at the 6 o'clock position are driven simultaneously, greatly reducing the time required to switch between local time and home time (up to 5 seconds compared to the conventional 5X53), and dramatically improving operability. In addition, a newly adopted flat antenna enables solar charging of the entire dial, making it possible to incorporate a 1/20 second chronograph function that consumes a large amount of power. It is a movement that truly symbolizes the "next generation GPS solar" with improved accuracy, speed, and versatility.

Astron's first vertical sub-dial layout gives the entire dial a sense of dynamism and depth. The base dial and sub-dials are composed of different colors and textures, creating a striking visual contrast and creating a sporty and high-quality impression. The subdial at 9 o'clock has a three-dimensional multi-indicator that emphasizes the days of the week, achieving both visibility and design. The 6 o'clock position combines a dual time display and a chronograph hour/minute counter, improving practicality. The hour and minute hands have a three-sided cut shape, giving an impression of polished details. The second hand functions as a basic clock during normal times, and for second measurement during chronograph times. The date display window also has a dedicated date wheel that allows it to be displayed squarely, and the round window shape blends into the design. In addition, the hour, minute, and second hands and indexes are fully coated with Lumibrite. It ensures high visibility even in dark places and enables reliable display in all situations.
