This model faithfully reproduces the design of G-SHOCK's first analog/digital combination model AW-500-1E released in 1989 in metal. Arabic indexes are used to display 15, 30, and 45 minutes. The bezel, case, and band are coated with black IP coating, and the original coloring has been reproduced. The band uses a bracelet-type metal band with rounded links to reproduce the shape of the AW-500. The camera back has a screw back design.
