■ World view of spiral pattern dial
The theme of the "Starry Sky" series is the magnificent scenery of the universe itself. This time, SBXC187 has a newly developed spiral pattern stamping that spreads out from the center of the dial. The dial is engraved with images of young stars coming together to form galaxies.
The dark turquoise-based glitter dial changes its appearance depending on the angle and light source. The all-black case and bracelet represent the darkness of the universe, while the mirror-finish finish plays with the light of shining stars. The two-layered design is full of details that are hard to convey in photos.
■ Special finish called Super Black Diamond Shield
The super black diamond shield applied to the case and bracelet is a surface treatment technology that is approximately 1.2 times harder than Seiko's proprietary diamond shield. It is scratch resistant and retains its deep matte black texture for a long time.
By combining it with pure titanium material, the weight is kept to about 105g. The weight of this 44mm Nexstar case is amazing. The full black form may look assertive, but when you put it on your arm, it blends in surprisingly naturally.
■ Cal.5X83's ability to use GPS satellite radio waves
Caliber 5X83 is equipped with "GPS radio wave correction" that receives and corrects time information directly from GPS satellites, and automatic time correction function using a super smart sensor. If you are outdoors in an environment where GPS can be received, you will continue to keep accurate time no matter where you are in the world. It is also equipped with an airplane mode (reception off) function, and is designed to be used during flights.
World time supports 38 time zones, and the time transfer function allows you to quickly switch between home time and local time. The chronograph measures 1/20 seconds and has a 12-hour meter, and the perpetual calendar is automatically compatible until February 28, 2100. The design basically requires no effort as long as it can receive radio waves.
■ Rarity of only 500 pieces in Japan
Of the 1,500 pieces worldwide, only 500 will be distributed domestically. The serial number is engraved on the back cover, so you can check the number of the one you receive. The limited distribution of this model, which is exclusive to the Seiko Global Brand Core Shop, is another factor that further increases its rarity value.
As a collector, the correct model is to "get it while you can." This is a book that I highly recommend picking up as soon as it's released.
■ Available in SBXD039 and 2 models
"Starry Sky" 2026 limited model includes SBXD039 in addition to SBXC187. Brother models based on the same world view and spiral pattern dial, but with different coloring and material specifications. It's fun to compare the two side by side to decide which one to choose.

■ Buyer's comment
When I heard the word "spiral pattern," I honestly thought, "Are you talking about design again?" (laughs) But when I saw the real thing, that impression was blown away. The sense of depth created by the dark turquoise and glitter cannot be conveyed in photos. The appearance of the dial changes dramatically depending on how the light hits it. The finish of the titanium x super black diamond shield has a real texture, and it weighs only 105g, so the moment I held it in my hand, I honestly thought, ``This is good.'' 500 in Japan, if you want to move, hurry up.
