In 1924, we created our first product, a pocket watch. The theme of the cross-sectional project that will appear in this milestone year, 100 years since then, is “LAYERS of TIME”. Using Fujifilm Corporation's structural color ink, the dial is decorated with a design reminiscent of the beautiful interior scenes created by the Earth over time, such as geological formations and minerals. Citizen ATTESA continues to advance the next generation with titanium. A gradation of black is layered on the structural color film dial using an inkjet process, creating the image of a beautiful and fantastic underground scene where brilliance peeks through the darkness. The rings surrounding the subdials at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock are intentionally left transparent with a step. In addition to taking advantage of the brilliance of the structural colors, the fine circle pattern on the surface brings about various changes in the appearance of the structural colors depending on the angle.
