The top plate reproduces the shape of a large circular notch centered on the balance in order to boldly emphasize the movement. The dial stamping also uses a Japanese motif. The lower plate is a combination of wavy and sand-grained embossed patterns, creating a delicate finish that expresses sand ripples, and the ruby peeking out from the movement resembles a garden stone.
